I started taking pictures of street signs as soon as I arrived in TOKYO in 2014. I found the VIVD illustrations charming and evocative – they reflect so much I CAME TO LEarn about Japanese culture. Three years later, I had documented over 2,000 signs, mostly located in the Tokyo area. They're being posted on Tumblr daily as we speak. This series has received press from Kotaku, Gizmodo, and Spiegel Online, amongst others.
